Your first interview can feel stressful. Good preparation makes a big difference.
- Learn about the company. Read their website and know what they do.
- Prepare examples. Show work from your course, such as an Excel report or a presentation.
- Practise common questions. “Tell me about yourself” and “Why do you want this job?” are almost always asked.
- Be on time and dress neatly. First impressions matter.
- Ask one or two questions. For example, what a normal day in the role looks like.
After the interview, send a short thank-you message. It is a small step that many candidates skip.
