Get the Most Out of Hands-On Classes

Practical classes are the fastest way to learn computer skills, but only if you use the time well. These habits help our best students learn faster.

  • Practise the same day. Repeat what you learned within a few hours, while it is still fresh.
  • Ask questions in class. If you are stuck, others probably are too.
  • Keep a notes file. Write the steps of each task in your own words.
  • Build small projects. A real letter, a monthly budget sheet or a short presentation teaches more than reading.
  • Review every week. Spend 20 minutes going over the last week’s topics.

Small, regular practice beats long study sessions once a week. Keep going, and you will see the difference within a month.
